I've used the adorable LOTV fairy, bubbles. coloured with promarkers, highlighted with stickles. Sentiment was hand written, the butterfly's are from my trusty MS punch, inked and glittered. Papers are from stock, as are the pearls and the doily. This has to be one of my favourite cards of the year!

So, if you're still with me, here's my mini prize:
$12 Gift Certificate
A $12 gift certificate for Saturated Canary.

And all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to leave me a comment here, telling me what you'd love to get on your next birthday, and a link to your challenge card!

1 entry each only - to keep it fair (fellow teamies you will be removed from the final drawer)

I'll draw the winner a week from tomorrow, so be sure to pop back and find out if you've won. Until next time though. Happy Crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Decoupage

Good Morning Lovely People,

Time for another challenge over at Crafty Catz. This week's theme has been set by Dianne and she challenging us all to layer it up and decoupage! We are sponsored this week by Crimson Cloud who are offering our lucky winner three packs of die cuts.
My card this week is all about Joanna Sheen's adorable House Mouse!
This image is from a pack I've had forever and I just don't get round to using as I never seem to have the time to sit and cut out the intricate designs. But I do soooo love them! these fellows have been mounted onto cardstock from stash on top of Kraft base card, edged with white pen and stickles stardust. On the edge is a doily and finished with pink polka dot ribbon and latte coloured lace.

So that's it, I do hope you like my card this week and don't forget to stop by and see the other girls gorgeous creations. Until next time though - Happy Crafting!

Love Birds

Afternoon all,

Just a quick today, I have a 101 things to do and not enough time at all! But I did promise to update you all on some of the things of been up to recently. One of the most time consuming projects was helping mum out with another wedding cake, or more accurately many cakes, as they wanted lots of individual ones *insert groan here*

Anyway, that in itself was time consuming and drove me mad but there was a fun element to the cake as the bride really wanted a couple of birds on the top , in a nest. Enter, stage left, needlefelting supplies and mum's patience....... and this is the result......
We also made a hole pile of small felted hearts in the colour scheme of the wedding to scatter around the cakes. This is it set up at the venue (there was also 6 boxes of kitchen cake too for the rest of the guests!)
So there we have it. Mainly mum's project but one that seems to have taken up most of my free time as well! lol! Anyway, until next time! happy crafting.

Crafty Catz DT - This one's for the Boys

Good Morning one and all,

Another week is almost over and boy am I exhausted - time for a lie in I think (still unlikely to happen) I've had a manic week and I've got so much to share and no time to write, so bear with me and I promise to share some of my latest projects.

Anyway, on with this week's Crafty Catz challenge and this weeks theme has been set by the lovely Kim who would like you all to make a card for a man or boy. We have two great sponsors this week; Mei Flowers and Digital Delights

£20 voucher or £20 of goodies

My card this week is for my young cousin.
I used the fabulous Tiddly Ink digi stamp set, for the birds and coloured them with promarkers in the following shades: china blue, sky blue, ruby, poppy, honeycomb, apricot, buttercup, pastel yellow, duck egg, cool aqua, lime green, meadow green and sandstone.

The image is layered onto papers from Docrafts Wellington paper pack and cardstock, all edged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink - as is the card base itself and finished off with three small star buttons from stash.

Clean and simple was the aim of the game and I think it worked out well. Thanks for popping by and don't forget to go via the blog to see the other girls fab creations. Hope to see your challenge creations soon, until then, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Bookmarks

Good Morning Everyone,

Are we all happy? are we all glad it's almost the weekend? Do we all have an indulgent treat lined up to have with our afternoon cup of tea? yes?! great - where's mine?! lol! I'm on a real sugar kick at the moment, I'm trying so hard to avoid desserts and cakes and chocolate (which is really hard in my workplace I assure you!)

Anyway, enough of my rambling, on with this weeks challenge at Crafty Catz. This week's theme has been set by the lovely Jac, who would like to see you all make a bookmark this week to celebrate the opening of Britain's first library on the 6th September 1852. We are sponsored this week by Alota Stamps, who are kindly offering our lucky winner a gift voucher to spend in store.
So onwards with my project and this week I've forgone a paper project in order to spend some time with my beads.
I wish I could take credit for the design but it's not one of mine, rather it's by Spellbound Beads. Love their stuff and most of my beading projects come from them! I love the fact I can also take elements from all their kits and make other bits - like I know that mouse is going to get made and turned into a charm for a friends bracelet and I have another friend who is Owl made, so I'll probably make her this owl up as a key-ring or bag charm.

Anyway! don't forget to pop by the other girl's blogs to see their fabulous creations and please play along with us this week at Crafty Catz, we do so love seeing your gorgeous creations. Until next time though - Happy Crafting!
