New Home Card

Hi all

Just a quick card to share today. My best friend got the keys to her new place last week so this was just a congrats card for her. This is her 3rd house though so I needed to do something totally different to the last couple I made her and I went searching on pinterest for inspiration. I found a few cards done with the accent house idea and so this is what I came up with. 

I tried to keep it clean and simple but still fun so I went with 2 bold colours and minimal accents

 Morning all

Another batch of cards made for birthdays coming up, these are as simple as they could get really. Sorry about the pictures, the light levels have been awful and I still need to invest in a light box or studio setup. 

The sentiment was computer generated and I used my nesting circle dies to find the best size to cut the hole for the maze. The supplies all came from Seven Hills Crafts and are by My Favourite things and can be found here, here and here.

A new Priest of the Church

Afternoon all, 

Just a quick card to share with you all today. Summer means lots of Ordinations to the church and as I have the privilege to know a number of Priests to be through the course of their training, I'm also blessed to get invitations to attend their ordinations also. 

I try to make every card unique to the Priest and this year, this was my card. The design isn't mine - it's from an embroidery pattern by Mary Corbet over at needleandtread. The design was printed onto heavy weight watercolour paper and layered. The image was coloured with my really old windsor and newton travel watercolour pallet.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with twist of Ice Cream

Happy Friday! 

Here's to end of another week and a new challenge at Crafty Catz Challenges. Our theme this week is, as always, Anything Goes but our optional twist is Ice Cream be it colours, images or whatever ice cream means to you.

My card this week uses their cute ice cream cone digi

I shrunk the digi and copied it to create a repeat background paper which I coloured with whisper pens in the colours that remind me of ice creams from when I was a kid (and last week...... ) I topped the card with a computer generated sentiment, some coordinating summertime papers and finished it stickles.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Twist of Stripes and Spots

Morning all

It's Friday again. Feel like its been a long week here. Don't know why but I'm glad we're almost at the weekend. 

Our theme this week is, as always, Anything Goes with the ever optional twist  of adding Spots and Stripes. We are sponsored this week by Kenny K designs and we will be sad to say goodbye to them as they are closing the shop at the end of June. Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Twist of Dies and Punches

Good Morning all

Well what a week we've had - horrible weather here in Birmingham! I would say at least the weekend is looking up but apparently that's wishful thinking.

Well a wet weekend means more crafting time, right? and we have a new challenge over at Crafty Catz this week. As always our challenge is Anything Goes but if you want an optional twist this week we're using Dies and Punches. We're sponsored this week by Time for Tea who are offering our lucky winner 3 digis of their choice. 

Now I've been naughty this week - we were kindly given images to use for the DT cards but I opted to make a pure Die Cut card this week and this is the result:

The dies are from Sizzix and I cut them out twice, once in plain white and then in various colours to make the cocktails. I then cut the second die to size and edged all the card stock with matching Tim Holtz inks before gluing them together. I finished the glasses with white gel pen accents. I mounted all the glasses on coordinating gold shimmer paper which I edged with white gel and there you have it. 

I hope you like it - this card actually went to fellow DT member Sue for her birthday and I hope she took the advice inside the card to celebrate in style.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Make Your Own Flowers

Morning all,

Here's to another Friday! Before we go any further, my apologies to anyone who got a late visit from me for last weeks challenge, I was away on a 3 day conference at the start of the week and the internet in the hotel was none existent so I couldn't check in with anyone until last night after work. That being said, your creations were all well worth waiting to see. 

Onto this weeks challenge which is, as ever, Anything Goes with the optional added twist of Make Your Own Flowers. We are sponsored this week by Sasayaki Glitter who are offering our lucky winner 1 image of their choice. 

The image was coloured with various Whisper pens this week and the papers are all odd scraps I had lying around. The leaves are Cuttlebug Die and the flowers are made using Woodware Punches, embossed with Floral Swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder and coloured up with a range of Tim Holtz Inks. The design was finished with some pearls.

I think everyone on the DT fell in love with this gorgeous image. I coloured her with promarkers in Blush, Pastel Pink, Gold, Red, Ruby, Burgundy, Sandstone, Terracotta, Cinnamon and Spice. I highlighted everything with my whisper pens and used my white gel pen to pick out the centre of the flowers. 

I used red card and spotty paper to accent the design and woodware punches for the flowers and leaves. I edged the picture with Vintage Photo and darkened the paper for the flowers and leaves with Festive Berries and Pine Needles.

I love this image by RSD, it's just such a fun little character. I've coloured him with promarkers in Warm Grey 1, Cool Grey 3, Pastel Pink, Oatmeal, Gold, Forest Green, Sky Blue and China Blue, The background is edged with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and the mirror card is embossed with the script folder and the design is finished with matching pips.

I love these rabbit heads, they make me smile - I've coloured them with promarkers in Caramel, Cinnamon, Pastel Yellow, Sky Blue, Duck Egg, Lime Green, Pastel Pink, Lilac and Dusky Rose. 

I've mounted the images on yellow card and it onto blue card. I found some fun spotted yellow paper in my stash and finished the whole thing with a white embossed sentiment and 5 pearls.

Well I hope you all had an egg-celent easter weekend! (sorry bad puns end here) and for those of you back at work, the week hasn't been too bad. I always find that the days after a long weekend seem harder.
