Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Mirror Card

Morning all,

Here we are at the end of another week and with a fun new challenge over at Crafty Catz. This weeks theme is, as always, Anything Goes but this weeks optional added twist is the use of Mirror Card. We are sponsored this week by Rick St Dennis who is offering our winner 3 images of their choice

I love this image by RSD, it's just such a fun little character. I've coloured him with promarkers in Warm Grey 1, Cool Grey 3, Pastel Pink, Oatmeal, Gold, Forest Green, Sky Blue and China Blue, The background is edged with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and the mirror card is embossed with the script folder and the design is finished with matching pips.

That finishes this weeks design. Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Springtime

Morning all,

Another Friday and another month almost over - scary!  this weeks theme at Crafty Catz has been set by the lovely Dianne and she wants to see Springtime cards. We are sponsored this week by Rick st Dennis who are offering our lucky winner 3 images of their choice
I don't mind saying I struggled this week to make the card, it probably doesn't help that Spring appears to have missed me entirely - I've spent 10 days working under grey skies at work and lamplight at home!

Anyway, enough moaning, this is my card this week:

The image is coloured with promarkers; Blush, Mustard, Gold, Pumpkin, Terracotta, Red, Poppy, Lime Green, Moss, Cool Aqua, Warm Grey 1

The papers are from Fancy Pants - Beach Babe and the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Shabby Shutters. The butterflies are memory box and inked with Versa Magic  Sahara Sand and Thatched Straw. The leaf punch is woodware, flowers, buttons and gems from stash

Thanks for swinging by and don't forget to join in the fun this week! until next time - happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Birthday's

Morning all,

Here we go again! so Saturday was Dad's 60th Birthday, Sunday I went to an Artists Trade show to discuss commissioning a piece of work from one of my favourite modern artists. Monday I was at the NEC in Birmingham for the International Spring Trade Show, sourcing suppliers for the shop at work. Wednesday I had a specialist tour and last night I was back rehearsing with the choir I sing with - who, just to add to my manic life - rehearse on the other side of town from me!

So Friday's here and that only means one thing in my diary - a new challenge at Crafty Catz. This weeks challenge has been set by Janette and she wants to see Birthday Cards. We are sponsored by Rick St Dennis who are offering our lucky winner 3 images from their collection.

My card this week uses the image Sophie

The image is coloured with promarkers in the following colours; caramel, cinnamon, henna, apricot, oatmeal, pastel pink, burnt orange, dusky rose, ruby, lime green, moss, cornflower, midnight blue and warm grey 1.

The background die is a die by Crafty Ann and the papers are from the Kaisercraft- Madame boutique pad. The sentiment is a freebie I found on pinterest and the gems and pearls are from my stash.

I do hope you like it. Don't forget to pop by the challenge blog to see the other gorgeous creations this week. Until the next time though, happy crafting.

Crafty Catz DT - Christmas is Coming

Morning all,

So another Friday closer to Christmas, where is the year going? just as well this week's theme at Crafty Catz is Christmas is Coming. The lovely Nina set our theme and we have two sponsors this week - Rick St Dennis and Marianne Designs

3 Images of Winners Choice

Surprise from Marianne Designs

I tried to keep the card simple this week and came up with this

I put the digi image in Photoshop and turned it to Sepia tones and printed it off. I stamped a freebie snowflake stamp onto Kraft card using white ink and edged the square with some more white. I mounted this onto some dark red card and then added another strip of card onto the top. I added two strips of ribbon from Wilko's Christmas range and created a bow to add to one end. I mounted the image on foam pads and finished the whole design with crystal gems.

So there we go. Hope you like it. Don't forget to swing by the blog to see all the other gorgeous creations this week. Until next time though, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Lady in Red

Good Morning,

How are we all surviving with this weather? isn't it grim. My thoughts are with any of you who are suffering from the flooding - I can only imagine your distress.

Friday only means one thing round here and that's a new DT card for Crafty Catz. This weeks theme has been set by Carol whose theme is Lady in Red. We have two fab sponsors this week - Mei Flower and Rick St Dennis who provided our stunning images to play with this week.
£20 Voucher or £20 of Goods
3 images of winners choice

So on with my card this week:

The image I chose is called Valentines Hat. I coloured her this week with watercolour pencils. The spotted DT paper is a magazine freebie, the sentiment, by Coco Chanel I printed. Marianne Dies Circle. Pearls and flowers from stash and leaves are a woodware pinch.

I hope you like it and don't forget to swing by the other girls blogs to see their fabulous creations.
