Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes (Shades of the Same Colour)

 Morning all,

Are you all ready for the weekend? well I hope you've all got some crafting planned. This weeks challenge over at Crafty Catz is Anything Goes with Shades of the Same Colour. The twist this week was set by the lovely Jac and we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments who are offering our lucky winner 3 images of their choice.

My card this week is for a couple of friends who got engaged recently and uses an image by Robyn Fetish Stamps called A Perfect Pair

The image is coloured with promarkers in Caramel, Buttercup, Meadow Green, Pear Green, Lime Green and Apple and is slightly layered to give it some dimension.

The card base is from cream stock, the sentiment was computer generated and the background papers were from stash and toned with Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters and Pine Needles.

I hope you all agree it's simple and sweet. Anyway, as long as the happy couple like it, that's all that really matters!

Don't forget to come and join us at Crafty Catz this week. Until next time, happy crafting.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes (with Butterflies)

Good morning and welcome to another challenge over at Crafty Catz.

This weeks theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of adding Butterflies. Our twist this week is set by the lovely Christine and we are sponsored by the lovely Sami Stamps who is giving our lucky winner a $12 voucher

The image I have used for my card this week is called Spring Branch
I coloured the flowers with promarkers in the following colours: Spice, Apple, Forest Green, Apricot, Honeycomb, Gold and Pumpkin

The sentiment is by Lily of the Valley and is stamped in Versamagic, the oval background is a spellbinders die, the butterflies are Memory box and the background is hand cut.

The paper is from an old pad which I've lost the cover to I'm afraid and the butterflies were cut from teal scraps. The design is finished with Stickles Stardust and a couple of pearls.

Anyway, hope you like the design and don't forget to join us this week. Until next time, happy crafting.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes (with Ribbons)

Good Morning One and All

Well I'm finally back after my hiatus. Huge thanks to my team mates who have covered for me in my absence - but I cannot tell you all how good it is to be back and crafting!

For those wondering where I've been - well the short answer is moving house, the long answer is  - suffering extreme stress and numerous setbacks whilst buying and moving house. But I finally moved in - on Christmas Eve! and whilst 98% of my life is in boxes and bags, I did manage to keep just enough access to a few crafting supplies so I could start the new year back with the team

This weeks add on to our 'always anything goes' challenges is Ribbons and we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons this week.

My card this week uses stamps by indigo blue and some teal voil ribbon I've had from stash. The blue background on the sentiment is Versa Magic Summer Breeze and the whole thing is finished with some stickles.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the teams fabulous makes. Until next time though - happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Red, White and Blue

Good morning all!

Another Friday means the end of another working week. I hope you've all had a good one and if not, that the weekend makes up for it.

Mine's been as mad as ever, everything's been a bit non stop since I got back of holiday; End of the college term - Diaconate Ordinations, a 2 day metalwork course, my birthday (the big 3-0) a friends 30th celebration, a trip to the theatre to see Mamma Mia - sooo good! and this weekend see's me heading North to Liverpool to catch up with a Priest friend and to see one of the outgoing top year Ordained Priest.... phew!

But in the midst of all this there has been some crafting, including this weeks Design Team card for this weeks theme of Red, White and Blue, set by the lovely Nina. We are sponsored this week by Time for Tea who are offering our lucky winner 3 images from the shop.

My card this week is one of those designs which is great for using up odds and ends:

Image is coloured with promarkers in Cool Grey 2, Warm Grey 1, Gold, Saffron, Almon, Poppy, Cool Aqua and Lavender. The papers are all scraps and the sentiment I found online. Th unicorn sparkles with Stickles Stardust and there are a few pearls to finish.

So there you have it, please go and check out the other fab cards by the girls. Until next time though, happy crafting!
