Good Evening,
Well for those of you who have already seen this on the Crafty Catz blog this morning, here it is in detail.
This is a card I made in January, shortly after Aunty Sue set her challenge. The reason I made it however, was entirely different - this is the engagement card I made for my Brother! :D excited much?! oh yes I was.
Mathew (yes it only has one T - I can spell my brothers name) proposed to Cheryl in Canada, where they were on holiday, snowboarding. She's crazy enough to say yes and join the mad band that is my family and this is what I made for them to celebrate the occasion.
I found the outline for the heart online and whilst it is meant to be for a die-cutting machine (which I don't have) I could open the file in Photoshop and print the outline onto plain white card, which I then hand cut to create the filigree work.
I dusted everything in pastel pink Versa magic ink and dusted the edge of the base card in rose pink. I then went to my handy stash of pre-punched flowers and butterflies and dusted the flowers in rose pink and covered the butterflies in stickles.
Some of the flowers are raised on foam pads and the whole thing is finished with pastel pink pearls and some crystal gems.
I have to say I was thrilled with the result and they loved it too which is good news.
So there you have it, thanks for stopping by and until next time, happy crafting x
