Hope you've all had a fab week of weather and those of you that got the long weekend had fun with family and/or friends. I was in work sadly so I missed out on the sunshine but that's the way it goes.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with the Twist of Animals

Morning all,

To those of you celebrating the tridium - have a blessed Good Friday and remember, Sunday is Coming! 

I'm back from my adventures - watch this space, I will do a report and photos for you to see. 

On to the challenge for Crafty Catz which is, as always, Anything Goes but this weeks optional twist is to to include Animals in your creations.

My card this week features a very cute sloth by Saturated Canary which I coloured with promarkers. The leaves were punched from green paper with a woodware punch and mottled using Tim Holtz distress inks. The background is a free paper from stash and finished with gorgeous enamel arrows and dots from Create a Smile Stamps.

Crafty Catz DT - Hot Summer

Morning all,

 

Another Friday and July is racing away from us with shocking speed! I wish life would slow down a bit. What I don't want to stop though is this gorgeous weather we've been having of late - which has kind of been the perfect inspiration for our challenge at Crafty Catz this week.

 

Anna has set our theme for us and it's all about Hot Summers or Hot Summer Colours. We are sponsored this week by Yours or Mine

 

We didn't have a sponsor image this week, which meant that I could play with a Saturated Canary image that's been in my stash but uncoloured for an age.

So I coloured her in using promarkers in the following colours: ivory, blush, pastel pink, cool grey 1, buttercup, canary, gold, terracotta, cinnamon, pastel blue, cool aqua, red and pear green.

 

The ticket is part of the all aboard range from do craft, the arrow is a free printable from Uprintables, the sentiment is simply computer generated and an unknown quote which I love. The base paper is from stash and the buttons are what was left of some freebies I was given.

My image this week is a charity digi from Saturated Canary called Breathe. This is the first time I've actually coloured her up and she's a gem to work with. As always I used promarkers to colour her in the following colours: Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink, Burgundy, Poppy, Apple, Meadow Green, Forest Green, Sandstone, Cinnamon, Caramel, Henna, Gold

The papers and card are inked with: Versa Magic - Perfect Plumeria and Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Pumice Stone, Shabby Shutters, Vintage Photo

The papers and gems are from stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

Crafty Catz DT - Bling it up

The image is of course a stunning one by Saturated Canary, which I coloured in with promarkers in the following colours: Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink, Saffron, Buttercup, Gold, Apricot, Honeycomb, Pear Green, Duck Egg, Pastel Blue, Caramel, Cinnamon and Henna. I started with a colour wash on her dress with blush rose ink, which I watered down and used like a watercolour paint.

 

The shaped base paper and the two tags are from Bunny Zoe and the base colour and shaped circle ribbon die cut is from Kaisercraft - Lush Collection. It's all been edged with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and then as the challenge demands bling; lots of gems!

Crafty Catz DT - Lets Go Pink!

Good Morning one and all,

Another Friday is upon us and that means another challenge over at Crafty Catz. This week's challenge has been set by our fearless leader Carol, who wants you to Go Pink! So pink themed, the more pink the better....you get the idea! We have been sponsored this week by the fabulous Krista of Saturated Canary and she is kindly offering our lucky winner 2 images of their choice!

 

Krista being the lovely kind person she is gave us the choice of a few different images to use on our DT cards and I fell head over heals for little Sabrina, who you can find here. Without further woffle, here's my card for this week.

I started with standard card stock and then created my own template to shape the card and cut it out. I then used and embossing pen and Do-Crafts seafoam white embossing powder to create an inset boarder - I went over the boarder twice to make sure that the embossing pen line was well covered as it was blue. I then stamped and embossed flowers and leaves from a SU set I won an age ago. I then die cut an oval and covered the inside of the oval with Versa Magic Pixie Dust Pink Ink. Using the same ink I covered the inside of the card, up to the white embossed edge. I then mounted the oval using foam pads onto the base and cover the outer rim of it and the main card with as much stickles star dust as it could hold.

 

Meanwhile I coloured the lovely Sabrina with promarkers in the following colours:- Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink, Dusky Rose, Blossom, Cool Grey 1, Buttercup, Pastel Yellow, Mustard and Lime Green. I then cut her out leaving a small border and mounted her onto the oval using foam pads.

 

I then attached the friends forever charms to a length of chain and stitched the chain into the card so that it was secure. I cover the chain and the centre of the one complete flower with tiny pink flower buttons from stash and lined the inside with pink card to finish.
