Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes

Morning all,

Well tomorrow is D Day or should that be W day? anyway, yes it's finally here - my brother will finally tie the knot tomorrow and 2 years after they got engaged and 1 year of wedding planning via email's and Skype I know we will all be breathing a huge sigh of relief. I intend on sleeping Sunday away and the next person to mention Weddings, honeymoons or Stationary is going to have something thrown at them! lol!

I promise I'll blog a post with all the cards etc in due course but until then, it's time for this weeks challenge and as it's the last Friday of the month that means only one thing - Anything Goes.

We have 2 sponsors this week - Yours or Mine and Paper Nest

Our Badge
$25 voucher

So everything is either cut and made by me or freebies I found on pinterest.

Hope you'll all swing by and take part this week and I'll see you on the other side of the big event!

Until next time, happy crafting

Crafty Catz DT - Black & One Other Colour

Morning all!

Another Friday and the countdown to my brother's wedding is on! 3 weeks and counting...... so my apologies if I'm a bit scatty for the next few weeks. Anyway, it's time for a brand new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this weeks challenge has been set by Aunty Sue and she wants to see cards with Black and One other colour - as always, skin and hair colours don't count.

We are sponsored this week by Stamping Boutique
3 images of winners choice

The stamp is a Kaiser Craft sentiment. The papers from a K&Co pad whilst the feathers are hand cut and finished with a spare button from stash.

If I was doing it over, I think I wouldn't bother with the gold feather as you loose it a bit, but anyway I can cope for now. Until next time though, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Autumn

Morning all,

Another Friday is here - seriously, where has this week gone? Well, where ever the week has gone, it's now the end of the working week and that only means one thing - a new challenge over at Crafty Catz! this week's theme has been set by the lovely Janette and is Autumn. We have two sponsors this week.

Creative Classroom
A free set to any one of our online classes.

Fred She Said
$15 Gift Card

We were given some lovely images to play with and I decided to keep it nice and plain and simple.
I coloured the leaf with my watercolour pencils for a change as it was the perfect digi to use them on. I printed the sentiment off the computer on the same card base and just lifted it off the base card with some autumnal spotty paper.

CAS from me but the girls have pulled out the stops with some stunning creations this week so do go take a look. Until next time though, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Sentiments

Morning All,

Here's to another Friday and the end of another month! We have a new challenge for you all over at Crafty Catz and this weeks challenge has been set by the lovely Kim, who want's to see you all use Sentiments. So that can either be a sentimental focal point, as the DT has done or just make sure you add some sort of sentiment into the bigger scheme of your card. We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo

7 digi images of winners choice

I printed this lovely sentiment image from Bugaboo onto kraft cardstock and then cut it out using my dies. I inked up a doily using Versa Magic Inks in Thatched Straw and Sahara Sand and edged the base card and the scrap DT paper with the same inks. I used a length of East of India ribbon between the doily and sentiment and then topped the card with some MS butterflies punched out of white card stock and inked with Versa Magic Inks in; Sahara Sand, Thatched Straw, Pixie Dust and Perfect Plumeria. I finished the whole card off with some gems and stickles in Platinum and Stardust.

So there you go. Hope you all enjoyed last weeks challenge and will join us again this week. Until next time. Happy Crafting!
