Crafty Catz DT - Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Hello and welcome to our third challenge of the year over at Crafty Catz. This week's theme has been set by the lovely Nina who said Girls Just Want to Have Fun and she's sure right! we are sponsored this week by the Stamping Boutique who are offering our lucky winners 3 images of their choice.
My card this week features a lovely image by Tiddly Ink Stamps called Wryn - Just Keeping Swimming.

The image and background are coloured using promakers in Blush, Cinnamon, Caramel, Henna, Ruby, Lilac, Aubergine, Duck Egg, Sky Blue and Blue Pearl. I punched some circles and used stickles star dust on them and finished with crystal gems.

The message inside reads - 'When life gets on top of you and you feel like your starting to drown, grab the snorkels and remember to just keep swimming'

I hope you like it, don't forget to swing by the challenge blog, leave an entry and see the other fabulous creations.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Hope your Birthday is Pure Magic

Afternoon all.

Hope you're having a great weekend. Just a quick post from me today. This is my Dad's birthday card and I used a fab image by Mo called Wiz and the background was created using a new stencil from Create a Smile Stamps.

Everything is coloured using promarkers - though I forget to create a list of colours. The background was made by using two colours (I think it was Gold and Apricot) and I just coloured plain white card and blended until I got the colour I wanted. I then using white gel pen to draw around the stencil and used Pumpkin (I think) to colour some areas in darker. I finished off the other spaces with stickles star dust.

Hope you like it. I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Crafting with an Attitude - Anything Goes
Crafty Girls Creations - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet Challenge - Anything Goes

Until next time - happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Word Art

Morning all.

Did you have fun with last weeks Crafty Catz Challenge? we had some gorgeous entries, so thanks for playing along.

Another Friday brings a new challenge and this weeks theme has been set by the lovely Tracey who challenges you to Word Art - so that means that words have to be the central feature of your design. We are sponsored this week by the fab team at Bugaboo who are offering our lucky winners 7 images of their choice

I used Bugaboos fab Coffee Love image and drew around the word art to make it into a coffee mug. I then cut it, distressed it with Sahara Sands Versa Magic Ink and then went over key words in 4 different whisper marker brown pens. The background was created by stamping the bottom of a coffee cup into Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink and then smudged it out. I distressed a doily with Versa Magic Thatched Straw and used scraps of paper for the boarder. The whole thing is finished with gems and some raffia from stash.

I hope you like it and don't forget to come join the challenge. Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Flowers

Happy New Year! and welcome to the first challenge post of 2016 for Crafty Catz. Our first challenge has been set by Carol and she wants to see Flowers as the central theme for your card, they must be stamped (digi or rubber). We have two fabulous sponsors for you this week; A Day for Daises and Crafty Ribbons

I used a fabulous image called mum wedding from A Day for Daisies to create this card

I coloured a square piece of white card with peacock and sea breeze versamagic ink stamps and then decoupaged the image, which I coloured with whisper pens before adding a computer generated sentiment.

I hope you like it and don't forget to go see the other girl's fabulous creations.

I'd like to enter this into the following competitions:
