Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with twist of CAS

Good Morning and welcome to another Friday Challenge at Crafty Catz.

This week's challenge is, as always, Anything Goes but our optional twist is Clean and Simple - we are sponsored this week by Digital Papercraft who are offering our winner 3 images from their shop

My card this week features heat embossing and watercolours. I've always loved messing with watercolours but rarely do I mix the medias and use it on a card, but I thought it would make a really nice change to use my Stamping Up flowers to make a floral design for mother's day. I used a really old stamp for the sentiment (so old the label has come off and I have no idea who made it) and matted everything onto hammered cream and blue card stock from paperbox.

I hope you like the final effect.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with the Twist of Numbers

Morning all

Well I hope you all had an egg-celent easter weekend! (sorry bad puns end here) and for those of you back at work, the week hasn't been too bad. I always find that the days after a long weekend seem harder.

Anyway, this weeks challenge is, as always, Anything Goes with the optional twist of including a number in the design. We are sponsored this week is Melon Headz  who are offering our lucky winner 1 bundle pack of their choice from the shop

The image is coloured in the following promarkers - Blush, Lime Zest, Lime Green, Gold, Red, Blue Pearl, Sky Blue, Duck Egg, Apricot, Spice and Honeycomb.

The papers are from stash and the sentiment is computer generated. The numbers were stamped using Tim Holtz mini distress inks and cut out with a rangers die

That's it for this week. Hope you all like the card. Until next time, happy crafting

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with the Twist of Animals

Morning all,

To those of you celebrating the tridium - have a blessed Good Friday and remember, Sunday is Coming!

I'm back from my adventures - watch this space, I will do a report and photos for you to see.

On to the challenge for Crafty Catz which is, as always, Anything Goes but this weeks optional twist is to to include Animals in your creations.

We are sponsored this week by Crafty Sentiments who are offering our lucky winner 3 digi images

My card this week features a very cute sloth by Saturated Canary which I coloured with promarkers. The leaves were punched from green paper with a woodware punch and mottled using Tim Holtz distress inks. The background is a free paper from stash and finished with gorgeous enamel arrows and dots from Create a Smile Stamps.

That's it for this week. Don't forget to visit the other girls and hope to see you taking part. Until next time, happy crafting

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with a twist of Easter

Morning all

Greetings from....... let me think, i'll be somewhere over South Africa I think when this goes live, heading home.

This weeks challenge for Crafty Catz is my turn to host and ooops! not here, obviously. So a big thanks to Carol and Sue for covering in my absence to make sure it all goes live on time! As always our challenge is Anything Goes and the twist you can add, if you'd like, is to make it an Easter Card

So Easter is kind of a big deal for me, more so even then Christmas. As a Christian it's the chance to start again, face another 12 months renewed, forgiven and hopefully wiser. So with that being said, my card this week is very simply as a reflection of my faith.

I'm get really bored of square cards but finding shaped cards is really hard (please leave suggestions of online companies that stock anything in packs bigger than 5/6.) so i used by sizzix shaped dies to create this card and the background. I used a nellie snellen die for the circle and the cross is a beautiful die by spellbinders, I used woodware punches for the flowers and leaves and used shimmer paper for everything. The design is finished with a few pearls.

Hope you like it, hope you like the challenge. I'll see you all soon. Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with twist of Metal

Greetings from Malawi!

Only joking, I am in malawi but this is a scheduled post for the Crafty Catz challenge blog. I hope you're all raring to go on this weeks challenge and my fellow team mates will be round to see you all in my absence. That being said - don't forget to leave me a comment, so I can catch up on my return!

This weeks challenge which is Anything Goes has the optional twist chosen by Jac of adding Metal to your design.  Our sponsors this week are the guys and girls over at Bugaboo who are offering the winner 4 images of their choice

My card this week has a retro kick as pop-up cards seem to be all the rage again these days so I thought I'd give it a go.

The image is coloured with promarkers in Sandstone, Caramel, Honeycomb, Spice, Cinnamon, Terracotta, Oatmeal, Dusky Pink, Mustard, Pastel Yellow, Pumpkin, Ruby, Lime Zest, Meadow Green, Lime Green, Cool Grey 3, Duck Egg and Sky Blue

The card is all from stock from Paperbox, the mulicoloured thread is Anchor and the 'Made with Love' charm is from my box.

That's it for this week. Hope you're all going to join in the challenge and i'll see you all soon. Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with twist of Buttons

Morning All!

Hope you've had a good week. I'm diving straight into this weeks challenge at Crafty Catz which is, as always, Anything Goes but this weeks twist, chosen by Christine, is Buttons. We are sponsored this week by Star Stampz who are offering our lucky winner 3 images from the store

I coloured the image this week with promarkers in Blush, Apricot, Pastel Pink, Terracotta, Burgundy, Spice, Sky Blue, Midnight Blue, Gold, Honeycomb, Mulberry, Red and Cinnamon. I accented using a white gel pen and cut out the image and frame with spellbinders nestabilities. The paper was a scrap in the box and the buttons from stash.

I hope you like the card this week. Don't forget to swing by the blog and see everyone else creations. Until next time though - happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with a twist of Pink

Morning all,

How's everyone doing? anyone else wishes for some warmer weather? The sun may have shone this week but it was far from warm here.

This weeks challenge at Crafty Catz is, as always, Anything Goes but the added and optional twist this week is to use Pink

We are sponsored this week by Polkadoodles and they are offering our lucky winner a $15 voucher

This sweet image was coloured with promarkers in Cool Grey 3, Warm Grey 3, Lime Green, Blossom, Dusky Rose, Dusky Pink and Pastel Pink and accented with Whisper pens. The paper was Mix and Match Garden Roses and Garden Flowers die-cuts and the sentiment is from a really old pad of paper that was free with a magazine.

Anyway, I hope you like the card and until next time - happy crafting!
