Book Card

On Sunday I went to a Bristol Craft day - it was organised by the fabulous Sue and was the first of the big Bristol playdays, with 19 insane crafters in one room, laughing, making and eating! it was fantastic - it's been agreed on that it should become a regular thing, so if you fancy joining in the fun on the 2nd Sunday of the month head over to Sue's blog (Playingwithpaper) for more information!

Anyway, this month's project was book cards - now some of us in the room *will mention no names* had been playing with the project prior to the session and so put us all to shame on the day by not only completing the project but making a card everyone wanted to take home! Me, on the other hand, was chuffed to have got all but the inside panel and the box made!

Now, I claim no originality in the design - I saw a card of similar design somewhere and it was stuck in my memory, so many thanks and kudos to whoever it was that created the original. Nevertheless, it was a design my mother would love so this is my card to her for mother's day!

If anyone wants to know the project ingredients specifically, let me know but they are pretty much as you see them!

I hope you like it, I hope my mother likes it, but most of all thanks to all the fab ladies who were there on Sunday!  it was a fantastic day - I loved learning a new project and here's to the long and ongoing success of the Bristol Playdays x

Just Magnolia - Anything goes with Glitter

Hi everyone. Another Challenge card, this time for Just Magnolia and Hanglar - which is anything goes with the additional option of glitter.
So obviously its a Magnolia image - I thought this little girl needed an airing and her pinifore is so much fun to glitterfy (possibly not a word) but  the photo's don't show it up too well sorry. Papers are from K&Co pads, buttons from stash.

Hope you like, I really enjoyed making this one.

$Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting x

Tuesday Morning Sketches - Late

Evening all,

Have you ever had one of those weekends which, whilst fab, left you achieving nothing of the growing list that needed to be done? well that was mine! Oh well - I just about managed to get this card done and it's not even that complex! lol
So, the essentials: this card wass for Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge this week; however, I'm too late to enter it - ooops! and the image is by the fabulous Mo Manning and is called Chickies. It's coloured with promarkers and everything else is from the scaps box. Boarder punch is Martha Stewart and the pips are from stock.

Like a said - small, simple and sweet

Hope you like it! thanks for looking and happy crafting x
