Happy 30th Birthday

Good afternoon and Happy New Year's Eve!

Wow! where has Christmas gone - I can't believe that Christmas came and went as quickly as it did - I hope you all had a wonderful day with family and friends. Well it's the end of 2015 - wow!  and I'm finishing with a Birthday card.

So many of my friends turned 30 this year so I've been making more than a few of these and I'm already preparing next years!

Much like the other 30th cards I did earlier in the year, the card has a number of facts from the year my friend was born but I also added the meaning of her name to this one.

It's a great card to use up scraps of paper too. I would like to enter this into the following challenges
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes
Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes

Have a great New Years Eve and blessings to you all for 2016. Until next time - happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Sparkle and Shine

Hello and welcome to the final challenge of Crafty Catz 2015!

I'm delighted to say that this week's challenge is my theme and I want to see cards with lots of Sparkle and Shine.

After the mass production of Christmas cards it was nice to get back to something CAS this week

So I used the cute LOTV image which just screams glitter to me. I coloured it with Promarkers in Blush, Eggnog, Gold, Saffron, Polar Blue, Cool Aqua, Frosted Leaf, Icicle, Duck Egg and used the glorious gold hot pressed paper in the back. The butterflies are memory box and lots of stickles to make it all shine.

So there we have it. Last challenge of the year and a reason to get the glitter out. Hope you can join us and we look forward to seeing you over at the blog.

Until next time, happy crafting

Crafty Catz Dt - Let It Snow

Evening All!

Not sure why I failed to set the time correctly for this to go live this morning, so sorry about that, but better late than never hey?!

So it's Friday and another new challenge over at Crafty Catz Challenges this week. Our theme has been set by the lovely Jac who wants to see cards on the theme of Let It Snow. We are sponsored this week by Crafty Sentiments who are offering our lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice.
My card this week features an image From the Heart called In the Meadow
I coloured the image with pro-markers and then masked the image and dusted the background with Tim Holtz ink. I double mounted it onto black card and then layered it onto a hand cut piece of vellum which I embossed using a sizzix folder.

So there we have it - this years alternative Christmas Cards. I hope you like it and don't forget to see the other fab cards by the girls over on the challenge blog.

Until next time, happy crafting
