Are you ready for a fright?

Well Halloween is impending and whilst I don't really do anything to celebrate it anymore I just had to join in with the Halloween Challenges at both Simon Says and Fussy and Fancy Friday - the reason - I need a reason to play with this fab image from Dustin Pike:

So utalising the great layout from Sketch Saturday this week this is my entry:

 

The papers are all from stash - sentiments printed from my trusty computer and the image coloured with pro-markers and whispers and there we have it.

I can sing a rainbow.....

But don't worry I won't, I have been humming it though whilst making this card for Mo's Digital Challenge which this week fell in with the blog hop theme of the Rainbow.

I decided to go for Violet - as I love that colour and using Friday Sketcher's beautiful layout this week, this is what I came up with:

 

 

I used Mo's beautiful image 'baby fairy Flora' which you can purchase here. I coloured her with pro-markers, highlighted with whisper pens an added glitter to the wings (doesn't show up well here). The papers are from stash, as is the ribbon. Buttons are from stash but brought a while ago from 'the works' bookshop. The sentiment is printed from the computer.

Think that's just about everything today - i'll be back tommorow with another card, just off to finish it up!

Dino-riffic Birthday

Afternoon all! Just a quick card to share with you all. I made this for my young cousin who is mad on dinosaurs. It's not perfect but I doubt he'd notice the issues with it so thats all that really matters.

Its the first time i've done a card of this style and I think it worked out quite well really.

 

 

The dinosaur and the bones are from a card sheet I printed over at Crafts U Print - I thought the card itself was too babyish for my cousin so I used the elemants. The papers are from a K&Co Hopscotch pad. Pips are from stash as was the base card stock.

I'm entering this for Creative Inspirations challenge this week, which is the theme of Birthdays

Two in One

Evening all,

Double post?! Almost never happens but sometimes..... anyway, i'm glad that day's over - totally headache at work today, to start with the computers weren't working properly, then I had to reinterview for my job (those who follow me know that saga) and then to top it all off I had the most abusive member of the public yell at me because apparently I was personally responsible for the listing of his property in 1978...... ummmm no........

Urgh! anyway, this is a double challenge card for Creative Inspirations – Christmas in September and Friday Sketchers, who produced this layout.

The image is from Just Inklined and is available here, the papers are all from stash, as are the pips and ribbons. I coloured the image with promarkers and double layered the top of the ribbon for some depth.

Let the little fairy in you fly!

Afternoon all,

Well it's been a grey and miserable day here, so on top of feeling like death warmed up - the weather has made the flat cold enough to require the heating! and I was trying so hard to wait until the end of october :o(
Oh well!

This card is just for fun, I really doubt it fits anyone's challenge theme this week but that's ok - I just really wanted to play with this stunning image from Make it Crafty - isn't this magical house just the sweetest? you can find it here.

 

The little fairy is LOTV, but I have to admit to cheating - I stamped her, scanned her and then layered her into the image on my computer rather than faff with various measurements and a lot of patience to print over the stamped image in perfect alignment.

The whole image is coloured with promarkers and highlighted with whisper pens for the finer detail. There is a small amount of glitter on the steps and fairy wings. The saying is one i've known for a while and just love and is, as credited by Danielle Steele.

Double Challenge Card

Evening all,

Well here's to another final challenge card - this is for Sketch Saturday and Stamp Something

Using this Sketch and the theme of Stamp Something who wanted Autumn Colours I came up with this

 

I haven't added a sentiment yet as i'm not sure what it is I want to use the card for. The pattern paper is from the Dovecraft- Eastern Promise collection. Tilda is paper pieced wuth the same paper and coloured with promarkers. Ribbons and gems from stash.

PB@Allsorts - Punch Away

Afternoon all,

Well as promised i'm back with another challenge card - this time its for Penny Black @ Allsorts, who challenged us to Punch Away:



The image is obviously Penny Black - so cute, love this little line of mice - coloured with pro-markers. I did the boarders with my MS punch and the flowers you should all recognise by now if you follow me - they're my beloved Tesco and Woodware flower punches. All paper and gems from stock.
