Crafty Catz DT - Spots and Stripes

Good morning all!

Well here we are again, another Friday and another challenge at Crafty Catz. This weeks theme has been set by Anna who would like to see you all make a card using Spots and Stripes.

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous team at Crimson Cloud, who are offering our lucky winners 3 packs of diecuts:

So, I have to own to having had a shocking week at work, which has totally messed up my mojo, so this isn't the most inspirational card this week - for that I'm sorry.
The image is one of Tiddly Inks older designs. The paper - featuring both spots and stripes is from a very old magazine pullout. Pips from stash and the butterfly are from a MS punch.

Sweet and simple this week - about as much as I could get my mind around.

Do pop by everyone else's blogs for some seriously gorgeous inspiration and i'll see you all soon.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - A Gift to Remember

Good morning!

Another Friday and another challenge at Crafty Catz. This weeks challenge is my theme and I've chosen 'A Gift to Remember'

Now don't panic. You have a number of options this week! you can make a card - but it must feature a present on it (either image or embellishment) OR you can make something in which you would give a gift - box/bag/book card etc OR you can make something which you would give as a gift.

We are sponsored this week by the lovely team at Stamp Fairy who are offering our lucky winners

Now then, on with my creations! I don't know about anyone else but I'm already in full swing making Christmas gifts for friends and family- so as well as making gift tags for them using the fab images from Stamp Fairy, I hope to also inspire you with actual gifts this week!
So, as I said, the tags are made using Stamp Fairy images, hand cut base card, paper and gems from stash.

The hearts and needle-felted with marino wool - I'm making a whole batch of these to sell too, in different colours.

The candle is decorated with a Penny Black stamp, which I've added gems and ribbon to, to finish off.

Hope this has inspired you somewhat to make a gift, or something a bit more unique to add to or send your gift in.

Until next time - happy crafting!

I've coloured the images with promarkers in the following colours; Sandstone, Pastel Pink, Pumpkin, Cool Aqua, Pastel Blue and Gold. The papers are scraps from two different pads. Ribbon, peal off letters and pips are from stash.

Crafty Catz DT - Decoupage

Good Morning Lovely People,

Time for another challenge over at Crafty Catz. This week's theme has been set by Dianne and she challenging us all to layer it up and decoupage! We are sponsored this week by Crimson Cloud who are offering our lucky winner three packs of die cuts.
My card this week is all about Joanna Sheen's adorable House Mouse!
This image is from a pack I've had forever and I just don't get round to using as I never seem to have the time to sit and cut out the intricate designs. But I do soooo love them! these fellows have been mounted onto cardstock from stash on top of Kraft base card, edged with white pen and stickles stardust. On the edge is a doily and finished with pink polka dot ribbon and latte coloured lace.

So that's it, I do hope you like my card this week and don't forget to stop by and see the other girls gorgeous creations. Until next time though - Happy Crafting!

Love Birds

Afternoon all,

Just a quick today, I have a 101 things to do and not enough time at all! But I did promise to update you all on some of the things of been up to recently. One of the most time consuming projects was helping mum out with another wedding cake, or more accurately many cakes, as they wanted lots of individual ones *insert groan here*

Anyway, that in itself was time consuming and drove me mad but there was a fun element to the cake as the bride really wanted a couple of birds on the top , in a nest. Enter, stage left, needlefelting supplies and mum's patience....... and this is the result......
We also made a hole pile of small felted hearts in the colour scheme of the wedding to scatter around the cakes. This is it set up at the venue (there was also 6 boxes of kitchen cake too for the rest of the guests!)
So there we have it. Mainly mum's project but one that seems to have taken up most of my free time as well! lol! Anyway, until next time! happy crafting.
