Thanks - Creative Inspirations Challange

So I needed to make some thank you cards and I really wanted to use this cute image by Mo and well.... this is what I came up with - the same card - two colour ways. I can only hope I did the image justice because it really is so adoreable.

The images are watercoloured and then highlighted with my whisper pens; the embossing is from cuttlebug plates and are from a stash I was sent (I don't own these two plates); the remaining paper is from stock - all circles were cut using Fiskars board and outlines. Thank you stamp is ancient - seriously! it was one of the very first I ever had and is/was by personal impressions;dots are using liquid pearls, outlined using whisper pens.

I have entered them into Creative Inspirations Challange for this week.

Thanks for looking -any comments or feedback is welcomed.

Dad's Birthday Card and Challenge Entry

So I decided to get ahead of the game and start making birthday cards - especially those for the men in my life. The first one I did was for my dad - end of January and I thought i'd enter it into Fussy and Fancy's Friday Challange - the theme was New - so new anything.

In the case of this card - the stamp is new, the background shape (made of two stars) were cut using a new Fiskars board I picked up in the sales and the silver edging peel offs were from a new sheet. Oh! and if we're going to really go all out, the base card is new stock too - although that may be a bit over the top for the idea of 'new'.

I really hate making men's cards and I find it difficult doing something different, so I hope he likes it. All feedback is welcomed. I just have another 12 mens cards to make - oh joy!

Thanks for looking and happy crafting xx

Cross Stitched Card

First card of the new year! sort of, I actually finished it yesterday I just didn't get round to uploading it. Something a bit different and it's been a while since I did a cross stitch card so I thought i'd dive back in.

I made it for a lady I used to work with who is retiring on her birthday on January 15th! (still need to make the retirement card). I wanted to make something which was a bit more sophisticated and could also be kept afterwards so I thought this was perfect as you could frame it if you wanted to.

As always thoughts and comments are welcomed!

Take care and happy crafting!

Christmas Crafting Bits

Hi all! I hope you had a fab christmas day - sadly my hiding plan failed to work but who was I kidding right?
Sadly I didn't get that big a crafting stash this year as I'd hoped, but I did get the two cuttlebug folders I really wanted and then 2 surprise gifts as well - From Alex I got some adorable parchement toppers which I can't wait to play with (i'm just waiting for inspiration to hit) and then from Sue I got a new tilda stamp, what's incredible is that it's one i've been after for an age but can never find so i'm a happy bunny! A massive thank you to both lovely ladies!

I'm busy stiching a birthday card at the moment, hence the lack of crafting updates - stay with me, there will be updates soon i promise! I have a few cards that need to be made asap so it'll soon be back to the craft updates - and I promise to finish the egypt adventure soon too!

Hope all are well, take care and happy crafting xx

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all!

Hope you all have a wonderful time - personally i'm planning on hiding under the covers and praying the day disappears without me noticing it - but hey! i'm a scrooge! lol.

Take care, eat too much, drink in excess (so long as your not driving) and i'll see you on the other side of this mayhem.

Lots and love and crafting hugs
xx
