Crafty Ctz DT - Fairies or Something Enchanting

Morning all

Well what a week! or should I say weeks - I've just finished a gruelling run of 18 days without a break - which is why I'm late with my post this morning. I hope you don't mind but I took the chance to lie in.

Anyway, I'm here now and this weeks challenge has been set by the lovely Nick and she wants to see cards and projects with Fairies or Something Enchanting on them. We are sponsored this week by Stamping Boutique  who are offering our lucky winner 3 images of their choice

Now, I've been a naughty DT member this week and not used one of our lovely sponsors images, but I'm firmly blaming microsoft for my misbehaviour! I set my laptop to update to Window's 10 and it crashed the laptop - having recovered it and managed to get it to upgrade properly it's now removed the drivers which allow me to print to my wireless printer! it's just been a nightmare, so it's been back to physical stamps for me.
So I've used this cute image from Lili of the Valley and one of their sentiment stamps too. She's coloured with promarkers in Blush, Mustard, Buttercup, Apricot, Spice, Dusky Rose, Lavender, Lilac, Amythest and Cool Aqua

The papers are all old one's from 12x12 sheet's that I've been using and abusing for about 2 years so I can't recall which make they are I'm afraid. The butterflies are a MS punch and the gems are from stash.

I hope you like it and do come over and play with us. Until next time though, happy crafting!

The image is Polka Dot Pals - Caroline

She is coloured with promarkers in Blush, Buttercup, Mustard, Blossom, Dusky Rose, Amethyst and Lavender. She is finished with accents in pencil. The ribbon, lace, buttons and gems are all from stash and the butterflies are a Martha Stewart Punch.

That's it from me, I hope you like it. Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Monochrome

Good morning all and welcome to another Friday and a new Crafty Catz Challenge.

This weeks theme has been set by the lovely Nina and she wants to see Monochrome cards this week. Our lovely sponsors are Star Stampz and they are offering our lucky winner 3 images from their store

My card this week uses their image - Panda

The image is coloured with promarkers in Ivory, Blush, Red, Blue Pearl, Cool Grey 2 and 3 and Warm Grey 1,3,4 and 5. The sentiment is computer generated and the images are all mine either shot or edited into black and white. The ribbon and gems are from stash.

So I hope you like the card, have fun with the challenge and remember monochrome is the use of any singular colour - not just black and white.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Decoupage

Good morning all and welcome to the end of another week! I hope you all had a good Easter weekend and for those of you enjoying Half Term, I hope you're having fun!

I can't believe we're in April already! Time is flying.... but the first of the month brings a new DT challenge at Crafty Catz and this weeks theme has been set by the lovely Carol who wants to see you Decoupage. We are sponsored this week by Julia Spiri who is offering our lucky winner 2 images

My cards this week are part of my new mini card craze. I just love making small sweet note cards to send to friends to cheer them up

The images are from Marianne Designs - Rose Garden. The only issue I have with precut decoupage images is that they never match up 100%, having said that, they are super sweet designs and perfect for these little cards. The backing paper is from the same pack.

So there you go, I hope you like them and hope to see you over at crafty catz playing along this week, Until next time though, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Stitching Real or Fake

Good Morning all you lovely people,

I can't believe we are at Good Friday already, lent has flown by. Whatever you do today, I hope you are blessed.

Now on to our challenge at Crafty Catz this week. Our theme has been set by the lovely Jac who wants to see Stitching - Real or Fake. We are sponsored this week by the lovely team at Bugaboo who are offering our winner 7 images of their choice

It seems kind of fitting that I was a rebel this week and my offering isn't a papercraft card at all, but rather a fully stitched religious card.

I made this card for a friend's Priestly Ordination. Everything is cut from silk, stitched on a machine with hand embellishments to finish.

Whatever you get up to this Easter weekend I hope its filled with laughter and love. Have a great time!

Until next time, happy crafting

Easter Cards

Evening all

It's been a while since a posted anything that wasn't a DT card so I thought I'd share this years Easter card design.

The central egg design is my own. I sketched a design, cut it out to create a template then drew it onto black card. I then layered the image onto green paper for grass and cut off the excess. I then created the rays by cutting down a rectangle and glue them in place before cutting off the excess, I then backed the piece in blue and cut around the shape again.

I kept the background simple, the white card is embossed with sizzix flourish and swirls and the ribbons and gems are from stash. I mounted the egg on foam squares to add dimension and there we go.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes
Cards and More - Use Ribbon
Crafty Sentiments - Any Shape
