We'll here's to the end of another week - where's the year going. Well Friday means only one thing, a new challenge at Crafty Catz. This weeks challenge is, as always Anything Goes but our optional twist is Party Time. Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with twist of Ice Cream

Happy Friday! 

Here's to end of another week and a new challenge at Crafty Catz Challenges. Our theme this week is, as always, Anything Goes but our optional twist is Ice Cream be it colours, images or whatever ice cream means to you.

My card this week uses their cute ice cream cone digi

I shrunk the digi and copied it to create a repeat background paper which I coloured with whisper pens in the colours that remind me of ice creams from when I was a kid (and last week...... ) I topped the card with a computer generated sentiment, some coordinating summertime papers and finished it stickles.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Lace

Morning all

Here's to the end of another week. Hope it's been a good one - for our American Crafting friends - belated Happy 4th July.

Our challenge this week at Crafty Catz is - as always - Anything Goes, but this weeks optional twist is to Add Lace. 

I coloured the image using promarkers: Pastel Pink, Red, Ruby,Burnt Orange, Terracotta, Henna, Pumpkin, Apricot, Gold and Moss. The papers are from Craft Asylum, the Flowers and lace are from stash.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with optional twist of Embossing

Hope you've all had a good week. This weeks challenge over at Crafty Catz is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Embossing. We are sponsored this week by Digital Papercraft who are offering our winner 3 images. 

My card this week was for Father's Day which was a couple of weekends ago now. 

I hope the close up images are better at showing the embossing for you all. The card is embossed with a Sizzix folder and the stars cut out using Sizzix Dies. The card base is bronze card and I mounted the embossed panel on that then added foam squares behind the smaller star and added the word Dad in the same bronze card and connected the whole card by putting stardust stickles on the smaller star and bronze stickles on the embossed base. I edge the whole card with black pen.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Twist of Baby

Good Morning All, 

Are you enjoying the weather? everyone's craft rooms suitable for baking bread more than being creative? oh good! lol! don't get me wrong, I actually like the heat but sleeping? not really happening so I'm getting grouchy now.

Anyway, the end of the week means a new challenge and this week it's my turn to host and as always we have Anything Goes but the added twist if you want to play along is Baby

I coloured the images in promarkers - Cool Grey 1 and 2, Ruby, Red, Apple, Lime Green, Honeycomb, Pumpkin, Gold and Canary. 

All the papers are scraps and the die is one I found on ebay - not sure of the maker. I edged everything in Wink of Steller Glitter or White Gel and staggered the images using glue and foam pads

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Twist of Stripes and Spots

Morning all

It's Friday again. Feel like its been a long week here. Don't know why but I'm glad we're almost at the weekend. 

Our theme this week is, as always, Anything Goes with the ever optional twist  of adding Spots and Stripes. We are sponsored this week by Kenny K designs and we will be sad to say goodbye to them as they are closing the shop at the end of June. The image is coloured with Promarkers in Caramel, Ruby, Duck Egg, Blue and Cool Aqua and accented with Whisper pens. Everything else is from my stash box with the exception of the sentiment which is computer generated.

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with Twist of Dies and Punches

Good Morning all

Well what a week we've had - horrible weather here in Birmingham! I would say at least the weekend is looking up but apparently that's wishful thinking.

Well a wet weekend means more crafting time, right? and we have a new challenge over at Crafty Catz this week. As always our challenge is Anything Goes but if you want an optional twist this week we're using Dies and Punches. We're sponsored this week by Time for Tea who are offering our lucky winner 3 digis of their choice. 

Now I've been naughty this week - we were kindly given images to use for the DT cards but I opted to make a pure Die Cut card this week and this is the result:

The dies are from Sizzix and I cut them out twice, once in plain white and then in various colours to make the cocktails. I then cut the second die to size and edged all the card stock with matching Tim Holtz inks before gluing them together. I finished the glasses with white gel pen accents. I mounted all the glasses on coordinating gold shimmer paper which I edged with white gel and there you have it. 

I hope you like it - this card actually went to fellow DT member Sue for her birthday and I hope she took the advice inside the card to celebrate in style.
