Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes

Morning all,

So I've been a bad blogger and a bad DT member this week as the College kicked off the new year on Tuesday and all I can say is I have had a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad week. But you guys don't need to read my moaning so I'll just apologise to anyone who I may have missed this week on commenting. It wasn't intentional, simply circumstance - I'll be better this week - I promise.

So on with this weeks challenge which has been set by the lovely Anna. It's a nice and easy one to ease you back into the School year if you're involved with such things, as it's Anything Goes. We have 2 sponsors this week: Crafty Ribbons and Inky Impressions

$10 Voucher

My card this week is fairly simple, but I wanted to play with some new inks and stamps:

The sentiment is from Digi Stamps 4 Joy. The background was created with a lovely set of stamps from Clearly Besotted that I treated myself too and stamped using Tim Holtz Minis in Victorian Velvet, Dried Marigold, Evergreen Bough, Seedless Preserves and Festive Berries.

I edged the sentiment in Victorian Velvet and then rubbed Victorian Velvet, Evergreen Bough and Festive Berries on card stock to create matching colours to punch out the leaves and flowers using woodware punches. I finished the whole thing with a circle coloured in Dried Marigold, Ribbons from stash, an off cut of paper and some pearls.

So there you go. A bit different for me but I had fun making it nonetheless.

Whatever you get up to this weekend, have a good one and until next time, happy crafting!
