Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes with the twist of Doilies

Hello and welcome to the end of another week! which can only mean one thing - another challenge over at Crafty Catz.

Our theme is, as always, Anything Goes, but this weeks added twist is add a doily. We are sponsored by Sami Stamps who are offering our lucky winner a $12 voucher

Sami kindly gave us all images to use and I chose Braid in my hair

The image is coloured with promarkers in Ivory, Blush, Honeycomb, Apricot, Spice, Cinnamon, Henna, Burnt Orange, Ruby and Burgundy.

I used Sizzix dies to cut the shape, used x&o ribbon from stash, copper card and rose print paper from stock and finished it with fabric flowers, a red doily and red gems

I hope you like it. Don't forget to swing by the blog to see the rest of the teams fab creations and until next time, happy crafting

Crafty Catz DT - Anything Goes (with Butterflies)

Good morning and welcome to another challenge over at Crafty Catz.

This weeks theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of adding Butterflies. Our twist this week is set by the lovely Christine and we are sponsored by the lovely Sami Stamps who is giving our lucky winner a $12 voucher

The image I have used for my card this week is called Spring Branch
I coloured the flowers with promarkers in the following colours: Spice, Apple, Forest Green, Apricot, Honeycomb, Gold and Pumpkin

The sentiment is by Lily of the Valley and is stamped in Versamagic, the oval background is a spellbinders die, the butterflies are Memory box and the background is hand cut.

The paper is from an old pad which I've lost the cover to I'm afraid and the butterflies were cut from teal scraps. The design is finished with Stickles Stardust and a couple of pearls.

Anyway, hope you like the design and don't forget to join us this week. Until next time, happy crafting.

Crafty Catz DT - Main Colour is Red

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all well, sorry for being MIA on the commenting recently, I was away on holiday and came back with a stinking cold that left me wiped out. Hope to be back to normal commenting soon though.

Anyway, we're at another Friday which means a brand new challenge at Crafty Catz and our theme this week was set by Sue who wants to see cards with Red as the main colour which is perfect for all those valentines cards I have no doubt you're all busy making.

Out sponsor this week is Sami Stamps and they are kindly offering our lucky winner a $12 voucher to spend in the shop

So as you can see I went all out on the red. The image is coloured with Dusky Rose, Poppy, Ruby, Burgundy, Gold, Buttercup, Cool Aqua and Dusky Pink.

Add the sentiment on the computer and used elements from Craft Asylum's Into the Woods 6x6 pad to accent the design and then everything is finished with white gel pen

Hope you like it and do pop by the blog to see everyone else's creations.

Oooh and if you're on instagram please pop by and say hi - my profile is in my right side bar - would love to see you over there.

Until next time, happy crafting

Well here it is - the last challenge for Crafty Catz before our summer break. This week's theme is set by the lovely Cindy and she wants to see Summertime cards. We are sponsored this week by Sami Stamps who are offering our lucky winner $12 gift card.

My card this week uses Cabbage Fairy and was coloured using watercolour pencils. I mounted it on some scrap paper and used scraps for the mini flags, finishing the whole thing of with pearls from stash.

I'd also like to enter this into Sami's own challenge: Anything Goes

So there you go. I hope you like it and come and play with us for our last challenge until August. Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - It's a Girl Thing

Morning all,

Well this is another scheduled post - I'll be back in the UK later today but until then, here's a new challenge at Crafty Catz. This week theme is It's a Girl Thing and we are sponsored by Sami Stamps who are offering our winner a $12 gift voucher
For this weeks card I tried to colour outside my comfort zone, so it was all about unnatural hair colouring - I'm not sure I nailed it but it could be worse:
The image is coloured with promarkers in the following: Apricot, Oatmeal, Lavender, Amethyst, Aubergine, Plum, Mulberry, Maroon, Honeycomb, Terracotta, Cornflower, Sky Blue, Moss and Pear Green.

I used versamagic inks in Turquoise Gem and Perfect Plumeria; papers from scraps, gems from stash and free feathers I found on pinterest.

Hope you like it and don't forget to join us in the challenge this week. Until next time, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Stitching

Morning all,

Another exhausting week is almost over, but a busy weekend still lies ahead - at some point I might stop long enough to have a proper break! Never mind!

On with another challenge card nonetheless. Kim has set this weeks challenge over at Crafty Catz and she would like to see Stitching - Real or Faux on your creations this week

We are sponsored this week by Sami Stamps who are offering our lucky winner a $12 gift card.

My card this week:

I coloured this gorgeous image with promarkers in the following colours; Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush, Terracotta, Spice and Honeycomb, Dusky Rose, Maroon and Burgundy.

The papers are from the Floral Fantasy pad, designed by Louise Tiler which came free with a magazine, edges dusted with Memento Ink - Bamboo Leaves and Versa Magic Ink - Pixie Dust and Perfect Plumeria.

I had drew the background shape on a scrap of paper, drew intersecting lines, cut it up to act as a template and then settled on four papers to build it back up. Inked all the edges, stuck it down then drew faux stitching all around. I mounted the image on a precut oval which I edged with Perfect Plumeria then added more faux stitching.

A couple of butterflies punched from shimmer paper and some gems finished the card.

I hope you like it and please pop by the challenge blog to see more fabulous inspiration. Until next time though, happy crafting!

Crafty Catz DT - Winter Theme

Morning all! another week has almost come and gone - and once again I wonder what happened to the time. I might actually get my schedule back on track at some point (next year?) anyway - Friday means one thing only here in blogland and that's a new challenge over at Crafty Catz. This week's challenge has been set by the lovely Dianne who would like to see Winter Themed cards please. We are sponsored this week by Sami Stamps
$12 giftcard

I printed this adorable set of owls onto teal paper and then paper pieced it using red and orange papers. I went over the surface with whisper pens to give some dimension and shading. The papers are all freebies from a magazine's Christmas collection and I finished it with co-ordinating pips.

So there we go. Hope you like the card and I can't wait to see your take on the theme. Until next time - happy crafting!
