Crafty Catz DT - Dies or Punches

Good morning lovely makers and creators,

It's Friday, which means it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz. This weeks challenge has been set by the lovely Beth, who would like you to use your dies and/or punches on your creation this week.

We have two lovely sponsors this week; Crimson Cloud and Digi Stamps 4 Joy who are offering our lucky winners:

3 Packs of Die Cuts

Digistamps4Joy SHOP
5 Digi's of the Winner's Choice

So for my project this week I decided to put the sentiment at the heart of the card and came up with this:

I began by edging my card base with a white gel pen and then going over the top with stickles stardust. Whilst that was drying I printed and cut the sentiment using spellbinders nestablities, which I edged with colorbox chalk; Blush Rose and then added a light coat of stickles over all of that.

Whilst the stickles dried, I used a couple of sheets of old design papers (no idea what they are, sorry) and did some good old fashioned paper weaving. I mounted that onto some scrap card, just to help it hold its shape whilst I cut it using the largest of my nestie dies. This too was edged  with the chalk ink and put to one side.

I then cut three roses using my Marianna dies collection, using the smallest rose, from cream card and once they were assembled I dusted the edges with Blush Rose. Finally I cut out some leaves using my Woodware leaf punch and dusted them with Memento Olive Green Ink to darken them.

Once all the inks and the stickles had dried it was a simple case of assembly. So there we have it. Don't forget to drop by the other girls blogs and see their fab creations.

Until next time, thanks for dropping by and happy crafting!
